Sometimes the best gear comes in small packages. The Zhiyun Molus G60 is about the size of a Rubik’s Cube, yet it delivers an impressive 60 watts of power. For filmmakers, photographers, or creators working in small spaces, this little light is a game changer.
Compact but Strong
At just around 300 grams, the G60 is extremely lightweight. Despite the small body, it’s solidly built and doesn’t feel flimsy. On the side, you’ll find a simple layout: a power button and two knobs — one for brightness and one for color temperature. Pressing the knobs lets you quickly toggle through settings.
This is a bi-color light with a CRI over 96, which means it produces accurate colors whether you’re shooting photo or video. At one meter, it outputs 2376 lux — surprisingly bright for its size.
Power Options
There’s no internal battery, which makes sense for something this compact. Instead, you can power it in two ways:
With the included DC adapter
Via USB-C power delivery
The light also has an intelligent cooling system. In tests, it warmed up but never overheated, and the fan noise was barely noticeable.
Versions and Pricing
Zhiyun sells the G60 in two main versions:
Standard Kit ($199 USD)
Comes with a mini reflector, power adapter, and carrying bag.Combo Kit ($249 USD)
Includes everything from the standard kit, plus a mini softbox, Bowens mount adapter, mini tripod, and a larger bag.
The combo version is especially useful if you want to use your existing Bowens mount modifiers with this tiny light.
The ZY Mount & Modifiers
The G60 uses Zhiyun’s new ZY mount, which supports their custom modifiers. Options include:
A mini reflector with dome
A larger reflector (sold separately)
A mini softbox with grid (included in the combo kit)
Bowens mount adapters (two versions — Adapter B also works with the Molus X100)
This flexibility means you can go super compact with Zhiyun’s own modifiers, or use traditional Bowens gear when needed.
Who It’s For
The G60 feels perfect for:
Solo filmmakers or small crews
Wedding shooters who want a light they can easily carry
Content creators filming in small spaces
Anyone tired of hauling bulky lighting gear
You could easily keep this light and a softbox on hand for quick shoots without sacrificing space in your bag.

Bright output for its size
Accurate color (CRI 96+)
Multiple power options (DC + USB-C)

Final Thoughts
The Zhiyun Molus G60 is a powerful little workhorse. For under $250, you get a highly portable, color-accurate, and flexible light that fits into a bag pocket.
